Minister Bahlil Invites People to Invest in Health During Fun Run & Fun Walk

Jakarta, May 28th, 2023 - The Ministry of Investment/Indonesia Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM) closed the 50th Anniversary celebration series with a Fun Run & Fun Walk which was held this morning (28/3). The activity was attended by more than 2,000 participants consisting of all employees of the Ministry of Investment/BKPM and their families as well as the public. The Minister of Youth and Sports Dito Ariotedjo also attended the event and provided support, then commenced the flag off for the Fun Run & Fun Walk participants.

The Minister of Investment/Chairman of BKPM Bahlil Lahadalia who also competed in the Fun Run explained that the Fun Run & Fun Walk was held to involve the entire community in celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Ministry of Investment/BKPM. He also added that apart from becoming a socialization event to further introduce the Ministry of Investment/BKPM, this event is also to build cohesiveness and a sense of kinship among employees and the community.


"In my opinion, investment is not only economic, but health is also part of the investment. Including maintaining a healthy lifestyle. Because a healthy body creates smart ideas, gives birth to positive ways of thinking, and is definitely happier, "said Bahlil.


The Minister of Youth and Sports Dito Ariotedjo expressed his appreciation for sports activities which were part of the celebrations series for the 50th Anniversary of the Ministry of Investment/BKPM. He wishes in the future for Indonesian athletes, who defend their homeland in international events, can grab the attention of investors.


"Thank you for choosing sports to be the highlight of the 50th anniversary celebration. This is a symbol that there will be a pro-sports policy at the Ministry of Investment/BKPM in the near future," said Dito.


The enthusiasm of the people to take part in this activity was obvious since the opening of registration for the Fun Run & Fun Walk on May 15 2023. In fact, the quota of participants was being immediately fulfilled on the same date. All participants depart and finish at the Ministry of Investment/BKPM office by following a predetermined route, which is 7 km for the Fun Run and 2.5 km for the Fun Walk.


One of the Fun Run winners for the male participant category, Raden Muhammad Bachir, revealed that the community's interest in attending in this activity was very high, including from his running community which also sent as many as 25 participants.


“I am glad to be able to join this Fun Run, especially since I managed to become one of the winners in the men's runner category. Thank you Ministry of Investment/BKPM for the opportunity and gift. Hopefully the Ministry of Investment/BKPM will be more successful and continue to prosper," said Raden.


To entertain the participants who took part in the Fun Run & Fun Walk, the Ministry of Investment/BKPM distributed various interesting door prizes ranging from televisions, cellphones, to electric motorbikes and medals for the first 50 finishers in the male and female categories. This activity was also enlivened by presenting Melanie Putria and Anwar Sanjaya as the hosts, as well as Titi DJ as the guest star.(*)
