Downstreaming of Copper to Support Sustainability
Indonesia ranks among the top seven countries in the world for copper reserves, holding around 3% of global copper reserves. In addition, Indonesia is 11th in copper mining production. However, Indonesia’s downstream copper industry is only ranked 18th—below Japan, India, Korea, and Bulgaria, even though those countries do not have their own copper mineral resources.
