Indonesia Endless Horizons: Advancing Indonesia's Economic Diplomacy at WEF Davos 2026

Jakarta, January 17, 2026 — The Ministry of Investment and Downstream Industry/Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM) together with Danantara Indonesia and the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KADIN) will participate in the Annual Meeting of the World Economic Forum (WEF) 2026 which will take place on 19-22 January 2026 in Davos, Switzerland. Indonesia's participation in the WEF Annual Meeting reflects the Government's long-standing commitment to global economic diplomacy rather than a one-off initiative.

Indonesia's participation aims to strengthen the country's investment promotion efforts while reaffirming its role as a strategic dialogue partner amid global economic uncertainty. Over the years, Indonesia has consistently leveraged the WEF Annual Meeting to showcase its structural reform agenda, strategic investment opportunities, and commitment to sustainable development and the green economy.

"The WEF Annual Meeting provides a good momentum for Indonesia to present its long-term development vision and communicate the Government's latest policy and regulatory reforms to the international community. It also reinforces Indonesia's commitment to move forward,” explained the Minister of Investment and Downstream Industry/Head of BKPM Rosan P. Roeslani.

Over the years, Indonesia has used the WEF Annual Meeting to strengthen dialogue with world leaders, global business leaders, and strategic investors. This year's meeting, held under the theme "A Spirit of Dialogue," comes at a particularly important time as geopolitical fragmentation and global economic uncertainty continue to reshape the international landscape. Against this backdrop, Indonesia seeks to reinforce its role as a constructive, inclusive, and solution-oriented dialogue partner while highlighting its economic stability, policy certainty, and competitive long-term investment opportunities.

As part of its participation, Indonesia will present the Indonesia Incorporated approach through close collaboration between the Government, Danantara Indonesia, KADIN, and other strategic partners. The Indonesia Pavilion, carrying the theme "Indonesia Endless Horizons," will serve as an integrated showcase of Indonesia's national development priorities and investment opportunities while reflecting a unified approach to economic diplomacy.

Complementing the Indonesia Pavilion, Indonesia Night will also be held as part of WEF Davos 2026. More than a cultural showcase, the event serves as a strategic platform for economic diplomacy by strengthening engagement with world leaders, global investors, and international business leaders through Indonesian arts and cultural performances. Through music, dance, and cultural exhibitions, Indonesia Night presents Indonesia not only as a competitive investment destination but also as a nation with a rich cultural heritage and a trusted partner for sustainable, inclusive, and development-oriented green economic collaboration. Building on Indonesia's strong track record of participation in previous WEF Annual Meetings, these initiatives are expected to further expand high-quality investment partnerships that deliver sustainable and tangible benefits to the country's long-term economic growth.
