Nurul Ichwan was born in Jakarta, DKI Jakarta, on October 19, 1968. Nurul Ichwan completed his Bachelor of Economics education at Universitas Jenderal Soedirman in 1997 and completed his Postgraduate Marketing Management education at Mercubuana University in 2016. Nurul Ichwan's career started in 1998 as an Civil Servant. After a 26-year career, Nurul Ichwan currently serves as Deputy Minister for Investment Promotion of the Ministry of Investment/BKPM since 27 April 2022. He has served as Deputy Minister for Investment Planning of the Ministry of Investment/BBKPM from October 2020 to April 2022 and has held other positions such as Director of Services and Regional Planning, Director of Regional Promotion Facilitation, Head of Investment Promotion in Singapore and London Representative Offices, Head of Sub Directorate of Manufacturing Industry Promotion, Head of Sub Directorate of Promotion Strategy Analysis, and Head of Sub Division of Leadership Administration from 2005 to 2019.
