Consul General of Indonesia for NSW, QLD, & SA Held IA-CEPA Webinar with Queensland’s Business

With support from IIPC Sydney, ITPC Sydney, Trade & Investment Queensland, and AIBC, Consul General of Indonesia for NSW, QLD, and SA held a zoom webinar to discuss opportunities arising from IA-CEPA implementation on investment and trade in education and agriculture sector. On the webinar, Henry Rombe, Director of IIPC Sydney also joined Ayu Siti Maryam (Director of ITPC Sydney), Yongky Susilo (IA- CEPA Taskforce, Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry), Alastair Dawson (Senior Deputy Vice-Chancellor International and Services, Central Queensland University), and Diana Gueorguieva (Manager International Trade Chamber of Commerce and Industry Queensland) as the panellists for the webinar. Ben Giles from the Trade and Investment Queensland gave his welcoming remark, while Heru Subolo as the Consul General of Indonesia for NSW, QLD, and SA delivered the keynote speech at the webinar.

In regards to investment cooperation, Henry encouraged Queensland’s educational institution to invest in Indonesia through cooperation with local partner in higher education sector. He also added, cooperation in value-adding industry between Indonesia and Queensland in the agriculture sector will provide huge potential to promote the “economic powerhouse” echoed by IA-CEPA agreement.
